ICG202 Torrens Internship
DESCRIPTION
Torrens University found that many students had challenges grasping a subject by the name of Introduction to Computer Graphics 202 (ICG202).
To support future students, a team of artists and programmers were put together to create a visual educational experience to make learning the subject easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
Contributions
Concept Art
My main role in this project was to create an appealing design that enticed students to have an interest in this course. The idea we came up with was to create a factory production line to demonstrate how CPU and GPU affected an image.
3D Modelling
The next part of our project was to bring our concept art to life! We decided to adhere to bright colours and simple shapes with symbols to indicate the function of each machine
UI Art
I mocked up some variations of screens that will be used to display information, I wanted to keep the soft, light-hearted theme in my designs
Animation
Finally, to breath some life into our models, we animated some of our machines so they had an 'idle' and an 'action' animation for when they were in use. We found that it helped bring the scene together by making it look like a functioning factory!
